Summer is in full swing here in Victoria, and we’re so excited about a new attraction that has taken over the city: Hot Tub Boats.

Hot Tub Boats have been set up in the Gorge and Upper Harbour, allowing guests to float around in the comfort of a mobile hot tub.

They are the first of their kind in Canada, though the company has plans to expand to Vancouver, Kelowna, and eventually the United States.

Hot Tub Boats provides a brand new way of exploring Victoria’s scenic downtown harbour. Simply hop in a floating hot tub boat off the dock and set sail.

This family-friendly attraction offers a completely private experience, with rentals starting at $65 per adult and $45 per child. Each boat can fit up to 6 people and no boating license is required.

Guests are welcome to bring whatever they like aboard, ranging from snacks to music. You will even be supplied with bottles of water, a Bluetooth speaker, and dry bags to keep your precious belongings safe while floating. However, alcohol is prohibited at all times.

As if this could get more enticing, Hot Tub Boats is taking health and sanitation measures extremely seriously. All boats are fully cleaned and disinfected between uses. In addition, the hot tub water is also drained and refilled for its next guests.

According to Hot Tub Boats’ official website, the experience is suitable for children ages 12 and up. Boats are rented in two hour increments, with bookings available throughout the summer and fall months (though it’s worth reserving early as spots do fill up fast!).

To make a booking, simply give them a call or visit their website to book online. All bookings must be made at least 3 hours from the time you wish to set sail. Once reserved, you'll be instructed to meet at Hot Tub Boat Canada’s floating dock and shack, located near the base of Chinatown.

If you’re planning a visit to Victoria this summer, then be sure to check out this fun attraction. And if you need a place to stay during your visit, you’re always welcome at the Quality Inn Waddling Dog Victoria.
